The world is made up of people who speak different languages. Within a country there are people who speak different versions of the language that is considered to be the main language of the country. The new software applications that translate one language to another are very convenient to have and use, but which is better automatic software translations or human translations?
Of course the only way that software can translate is for a human to write the program telling the software everything it knows. So in essence both types of translation are actually human. The differences between having an application that turns Spanish into French, or French into English, and having a human do this, is that the human can understand little things that might change the literal translation. Humans can pick up on what is being referred to and do not have to translate just word for word. Automatically having this done will not allow the person to get the meaning if what is being translated contained slang phrases. If everything that is being converted from one language to another is in proper speaking terms and does not contain any slang references then the automatic versions of doing this will be faster and less likely to have errors in it.
